Background

I'm currently working at W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. I started on June 20, 1994 as an Intern (underpaid slave) and have been there ever since. According to the head hunters, computer people should switch jobs every 2 - 5 years or they become stale. Let's see if I can prove them wrong.

This is how you say my last name in Chinese (Mandarin) --> Sun in Real Player format. You can also click on the 2 separate Chinese characters on the main page to listen to a WAV file pronunciations of them. If you need a WAV player give WinAmp a try or Microsoft's Windows Media Player..

A good explanation of what my Sun surname literally means:

 Zhong Wen Dot Com

Education

Bachelor of Science
Computer and Informational Sciences
Concentration: Management Information Systems
University of Delaware, December 1995
Glasgow High School, June 1991
Gauger-Cobbs Middle School, June 1987
Bancroft Elementary School, June 1985
(sorry can't remember the rest)

In the beginning (or the beginning of the end), I was sort of an aggressive student. However, one day I said, enough is enough. I ended up only finishing with only one degree. I spent 4 and half years at the University and ended up graduating with an extra 65 credits (that ended up accounting for nothing whatsoever other then saying I did it.)

He lowers the balloon further and shouts:

"Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?

The man below says:
"Yes you're in a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field."

"You must work in Information Technology" says the balloonist.

"I do" replies the man. "How did you know?"

"Well" says the balloonist, "everything you have told me is technically correct, but it's of no use to anyone."

The man below says "You must work in management."

"I do" replies the balloonist, "but how did you know?"

"Well", says the man, "You don't know where you are, or where you're going, but you expect me to be able to help; and you're in the same position as you were before we met, but now it's my fault."
