Why create a richsun.com?

Two things, to solve one of my biggest Internet computing problems and try and tune some of my HTML skills from back in the day. It's funny, I started using the "Internet" when there was this new thing called "Gopher" and you accessed it through a telnet or terminal connection.

I started this site on Freeservers.com. I thought it would only cost me the domain name registration each year, but after a while, the service just wasn't up to par. Those annoying banner at the top of my page, images that were correct when you went to them, but displayed incorrectly. So I decided to entrust my web site to my friends at Magees.Net.

I lose my favorite links every time I switch to a different computer or decide it's time to format the one I'm on and reset it up from scratch. Any computer guy knows that the best system is the one you just set up. In theory I won't loose any hyper-links anymore, and I'll be able to access all of them from multiple computers. Now I just need to keep it up to date :-)

I originally wanted rsun.com, but someone bought it to sell for profit and wanted me to pay him 500.00 USD for it. If I had money to burn, I'd gladly pay, but then again this is the real world. I then tried to buy richardsun.com, but the same thing occurred. I'll just have to wait it out, if they decide it's not worth their time, maybe they will let the registration expire and then I can buy it. My friends call me Richard more than Rich, but I said why not and bought richsun.com before it was gone too. Now I'm just playing around and seeing what I can do. One cool place I've found to help do this is Dynamic Drive.

It finally happened, the people who owned richardsun.com let it expire and I just registered it.

If I found a picture I liked and added it to my site, I made the picture a link to go to the original site I found it on.
